LEGO Loco (sometimes stylised as LEGO LOCO in all-caps) is a 1998 simulation game developed by Intelligent Games and published by LEGO Media.
Gameplay
Release
Setup on Windows 11
- Put the CD into your computer via optical drive, or mount your ripped .iso file.
- Install the game using le717's LOCO Alternate Installer.
- In the install folder (usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\LEGO Media\Constructive\LEGO LOCO\Exe"), right click "loco.exe".
- Click Properties, and in the Compatibility submenu, check the 'Run as Administrator' box.
- Check the Reduced Color Mode box, and set the game to either 8-bit or 16-bit color.
- Change your desktop resolution to 800x600, 1024x768, or 1280x1024. These are the only resolutions that Loco runs at.
Troubleshooting
Game isn't launching
- If you are still having issues launching the game, download DDrawCompat and extract it to the install folder of the game (usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\LEGO Media\Constructive\LEGO LOCO").
- After this, create a new file with the name DDrawCompat.ini and paste the following: RenderColorDepth = 16 DesktopResolution = 1280x720 The DesktopResolution can be changed to anything below 1280x1024.
Graphical glitches
- If you are having issues with the UI or certain buildings' graphics, download DDrawCompat and extract it to the install folder of the game (usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\LEGO Media\Constructive\LEGO LOCO").
