The Teleport Pad is a fictional building in the LEGO Rock Raiders theme.

A physical model of it was released in the LEGO construction set The Rock Raiders HQ (item #4990) in 1999, where it is used to park a small hovercraft. In the LEGO Rock Raiders video game, it is used to transport minifigures and vehicles to the planet from the LMS Explorer. In the game's PlayStation version, it is used to transport the player back to the Explorer at the end of most missions.

Game information

LEGO Rock Raiders (Windows)

In the Windows version of LEGO Rock Raiders, the Teleport Pad is considered an advanced building.[1] It costs 8 pieces of Ore (or 2 Building Studs) to construct one Teleport Pad.[2] Its layout consists of two blocks in a 1×2 configuration, with one solid block for the building base and one entrance block below that.[3] It takes one Energy Crystal to power it.[4]

The Teleport Pad can be upgraded twice.[4] As with all buildings, each upgrade costs 5 pieces of Ore (or 1 Building Stud).[5]

File details

In the game's configuration file, the Teleport Pad is defined as TeleportPad[4] under BuildingTypes {}.[8] Its files are located in the Buildings\TeleportPad folder in LegoRR0.wad, and its animations are controlled by the AE file TeleportPad.ae.[3]
