Art of the Slimy Slug frok the LEGO Rock Raiders video game

Slimy slugs are a fictional extraterrestrial lifeform in the LEGO Rock Raiders theme.

Game information

LEGO Rock Raiders (Windows)

The Slimy Slug can travel across land and moves at a speed of 0.3 blocks per second.[1] This sluggish speed makes it the slowest creature in the game, and it is tied with the Chrome Crusher as the slowest entity in the game. It has a Rubble coefficient of 0.3, lowering its speed to 0.09 blocks per second, the slowest speed used by any entity in the game.[1]

Slimy Slugs emerge from Slimy Slug Holes, and will attempt to path towards any powered buildings within a radius of 280 distance units (7 blocks).[1] Upon reaching a building, the Slimy Slug will start to suck power out of it, continuing until all Energy Crystals that the player has collected have been drained.[2]

Laser Beams do 5 points of damage to Slimy Slugs, and Pusher Beams both do 5 points of damage and push them away 60 distance units (1.5 blocks). They are immune to Freezer Beams and are not affected by Electric Fences. They retreat back towards Slimy Slug Holes when they reach 50% health left.[1]

Technical details

In the game's configuration file, the Slimy Slug is defined as Slug[1] under RockMonsterTypes {}.[3] Its files are located in the Creatures\Slug folder in LegoRR0.wad, and its animations are controlled by the AE file Slug.ae.[4]
