Research Realm is a wiki dedicated to understanding the LEGO Group's products and their development. We investigate and document understudied areas like:
- Early video games including PC, console, and web games
- Prototypes of video games, sets, and bricks
- Physical media including magazines and set boxes
Values
- Accuracy over openness
- We hand-pick editors to ensure high quality, accurate articles written with a deep knowledge of LEGO. While opening up to all fans would increase our velocity, it would also result in many low-quality contributions and overwhelm our vetting process.
- Verifiability over comprehensiveness
- We expect our editors to cite their sources the moment they add information, not later to help ensure information is accurate.
- Media over sets
- Multiple sites maintain excellent databases of LEGO sets, inventories, and instructions. We want to focus on understudied areas like video games and prototypes.
