Klodshans was an internal magazine published for employees of the LEGO Group. It started publication in 1973, replacing an earlier publication, LEGO knoppen, and was published alongside a weekly bulletin, LEGO Inform.[1] Klodshans has been confirmed to be published up until 1999, with several issues published each year. Alternative versions were published as LEGO Review by LEGO UK Ltd in the United Kingdom and as LEGO revue for LEGO GmbH in Germany;[2] it is currently unclear how much of these were translated from Klodshans and how much were original. The three versions had a crossover in 1982 for the 50th anniversary of the LEGO Group.
As these were only available to employees, they are rare, exclusive, and essentially the "holy grails" of LEGO magazines to scan and archive, because they sometimes contain information and media of LEGO development and in-development products that the public has never seen before. There is currently incredibly little information about these, and they are rare finds. Several exist in private collections with the vast majority having never been scanned.
In 1999 Klodshans was replaced with LEGO Life[3] (not to be confused with the LEGO Club magazine named similarly).
List of issues
It is unknown exactly how many Klodshans were published per year in between 1973-1984, which makes it impossible to assign each issue with a number. We can observe that Klodshans had 6 issues per year in 1981, because of the December 1981 issue, which in 1984 as of latest had increased to 8 issues per year in 1984, and stayed that way until the final issue in 1999. Since issue #100 came out in 1988 and we know how many issues it had per year for certain time spans, it makes it possible to retroactively assign numbers to some previous years, and conclude that there were 187 Klodshans issues ever published, not including yearly reviews and special editions.
The front cover design used starting 1986 was designed by Susanne Korsager.[4]

LEGO revue
LEGO revue was the German version of LEGO Review, which supposedly had the exact same content but in German. No issues found yet.
