Exploriens – The Space Mystery is a 1996 browser-based [[Wikipedia:point-and-click adventure game based on the LEGO Exploriens product line.

Following the success of Treasure Hunt, The Space Mystery was announced on 12 December 1996. Unlike Treasure Hunt, which was only available in English, The Space Mystery could be played in Danish, English, German, or Spanish.[3]

By 3 May 1997, however, the game had been removed from the LEGO World Wide Web Site's "Play" page.[4] A notice was added to the game's index page stating that it had been temporarily disabled.[5]

As a LEGO Surfer Club account was required to play The Space Mystery, it was not archived and is currently lost media.

Development and release

The Space Mystery was first made available on LEGO.com on 5 December 1996.[2] Mondo programmer Soren Beck announced it on rec.toys.lego a few hours after its release. The LEGO Group officially announced it in a press release on 12 December.[3]
