The Rock Raiders franchise got 2 separate video games: One for PC, and one for PlayStation 1. They featured vastly different gameplay, where the PC game was a resource management RTS game, and the PlayStation game was a third-person action game.

The Rock Raiders theme began production in 1997 with the codename "Underground". The sets stopped being produced in 2000. They wrote about it in ''[[The Ultimate LEGO Book]]''.<ref name="Ultimate Lego Book"/>
